Megan Briggs gets her 2nd Scottish Cap

RLCGA County Champion Megan Briggs [Kilmacolm] has received her second Scottish cap after being selected for the Scottish Girls Team for the Home Internationals to be played at Port Stewart, Northern Ireland from 9 to 11 August 2006.The team is captained by RLCGA's Jennifer Jenkins [Ralston]

Lochwinnoch Open Day (Enter here)

If your golfing diary's clear on Saturday 29th July, join the rest of Renfrewshire's golfers at Lochwinnoch to play for The Glenhead Trophy. You're guaranteed a warm welcome at Lochwinnoch's annual ladies' open competition, this year a singles round, Stableford format with no restrictions on handicap.

A new feature of the competition this year is the team prize, for teams of six or more. To qualify, your team members needn't be from the same club nor even playing at the same time; just submit the names in advance of the open day. The best five scores will count and of course individual scores will still qualify for the singles prizes up for grabs.

The 2006 Janice Moodie Trophy (The Briggs are Winners)

Eilidh Briggs (Kilmacolm) won this years Janice Moodie Trophy at Windyhill Golf Club today.
Eilidh had a gross 78 net 69 to lift the Trophy. Not to be out done, big sister Megan won the scratch prize with a gross 73

July Medal played over Paisley

Lorraine Morrow (Erskine) carded an excellent net 71 off a handicap of 9 to win the County Medal played today at Paisley.

Claire-Marie Carlton, Fereneze, won the scratch prize with a gross 75. Claire-Marie was part of the victorious Renfrewshire County team who won the West County Jamboree at East Renfrewshire last week.
The team now go to play in the Scottish Finals at the end of September.

Anne Terry, Greenock, won the handicap section 13-28 with a nett 74.
