DENISE COWAN RETAINS THE COUNTY ROSEBOWL

Denise and Carol out on the course at Haggs Castle

Captain Gillian McGinlay presents the trophy to Denise

All Smiles - Denise and Carol

The final of the 2015 County Rosebowl was played this morning at Haggs Castle Golf Club in dry but breezy conditions between Ranfurly Castle's Denise Cowan (5) and Carol Fell (9)
Denise got off to a good start and continued to play well with pars and then a birdie 3 at the 5th and a birdie 2 at the 7th to be 3 up. Despite a bogey at the 8th she still managed to win that hole from Carol who had been struggling off the tees and visiting numerous bunkers !!
Carol then had her 4th par at the 9th for a net 3 to go back to 3 down. - Denise was out in 39 and Carol 44
Denise continued her excellent play to eventually win the match at the 14th.
Many thanks go to Captain Gillian McGinlay for refereeing the final and many congratulations go to Denise on retaining the trophy.
