I don't mind what goes up... it could be results of your recent medal at your home course, the CSS for your competition, a link to another website, a report of a recent match, an announcement of a hole-in-one etc. in short, anything that you think the readers would find interesting. It's your page. Please email Carol if you would like to contribute to these pages by becoming a RLCGA correspondent.

RLCGA Ladies Training Squad
The Ladies Training Squad had an excellent morning's coaching with Karyn Burns at the Mearns Golf Academy on Sunday morning. The emphasis was on the short game and this was followed by 8 of the girls playing a friendly match over 9 holes against the Renfrewshire Boys. It was a very close contest with the honours just going to the boys.

The Four Seasons Vilamoura Stableford Classic

Bobby Faulds played steady golf today over Pinhal Golf Course in the Algarve today. Despite getting no points at the last, his 33 points was enough to lift the trophy for the 1st time in more than 10 attempts. Gordon Fell was runner up despite not scoring at the last 2 holes. Somebody stole his ball at the 17th and 18th !!
On the distaff side Carol and Helen scored the same number of points . We are not telling you what !
We however finished a point outside the prizelist.
This was all played in glorious sunshine.
We would like to recommend Quinta de Ria which we played yesterday . It was in magnificent condition and a tough test for all.
Cheers from your roving reporter Carol !!

Just to let you know the Fells and the Faulds arrived safely in Portugal yesterday. The sun is shining and the temperature is about 75. We hear there has been snow in Glasgow and that the Airport was closed . We are sorry to hear there is no golf for you all at the moment !!
Having a lovely time out here . Missing you all.
Cheers Carol and Helen !!

Fiona comes home from Spain with a Trophy
Fiona Roger (Ranfurly Castle) returned from Spain on Saturday with the handicap Trophy from the Spanish Seniors played at Jerez Golf Course last week.Fiona who had a net 148 for the 2 rounds played in the singles competition was not sure quite what divison it was from as the prizegiving was all in Spanish but she thought it was from the 3rd Division of players
WELL DONE FIONA --- I knew there was some hidden talent there !!
The Scottish group that had lost their clubs on the outward flights, also lost their clubs on the homeward flight. Despite that I think Helen Faulds (Douglas Park) partnered by Evy MacGregor (Ranfurly Castle) managed to win their foursomes tie a Douglas Park on the Sunday with Helen borrowing her husband clubs !!
