Eilidh Briggs is the West of Scotland Girls Champion

The Finals of the 2008 West Girls Championships took place Sunday 26th October in the most horrendous conditions. The finals had been postponed due to heavy rain on the 4th. The Championship match was very tight between Renfrewshire's Eilidh Briggs and Ayrshire's Rachael McQueen with Eilidh winning at the 17th

Christeen and Sheila win their Winter Foursomes Tie

Sheila Robson and RLCGA Captain Christeen Finlayson (Whitecraigs) won on the 18th green today at Whitecraigs against Viv Young and Mary Gildea. They were all square at the turn and Viv and Mary were two up after the 13th. Unfortunately Viv and Mary lost their ball over the hill at the fourteenth so that was probably the hole that let the Whitecraigs pairing win at the end of the day.

Happy Halloween to all our readers
