The August Medal was played to-day over Greenock Golf Club. Conditions were very windy, but dry and sunny giving lovely views over the Clyde. Unfortunately there was a very small entry due to the Ayrshire Centenary Greensomes held over Troon Portland where there were many Renfrewshire players taking part
The overall winner was Vivien Young (Cochrane Castle) 88 (18) 70. Best gross was Maureen Woodhead (Gourock) with an 80. The CSS was 71.
