ALL THE 1ST ROUND WINTER FOURSOMES TIES ARE COMPLETE

The last tie of the first round of the Winter Foursomes was played at Haggs Castle Golf Club yesterday in the pouring rain. Despite the course being closed until 11am the match went ahead between the home players Audrey Sturgess and Evi Park against Janette McCartney (Erskine) and late substitute Carol Fell (Ranfurly Castle).
The Course which was covered in leaves and fairly damp in areas after all the torrential rain was, however, enjoyed by all since the greens were in magnificent condition.
The match was very closely contested going right down the wire with the visitors winning on the 18th green.
