The 2012 fixture card will be posted out to members soon. Along with this will be an information sheet for members. (Please note the Entry to the Competitions will be available when your webmaster has organised the links on this website which will be on the LHS of the website)
One thing I would like to draw to your attention is that the committee have unanimously agreed that from the start of the 2012 season (not in the current Winter Foursomes Competition which is ongoing) we will permit the use of Distance Measuring Devices (DMDs) in our competitions. Members should be aware that devices which measure anything else, wind speed and direction etc are not permitted. The SLGA do not permit the use of DMDs in SLGA competitions so members should be vigilant and turn off such devices if they qualify for a SLGA competition.
The use of buggies will also be permitted in accordance with the SLGA Transportation Policy and in compliance with the Disability Discrimination Act.
The season is certainly getting closer and both the Juniors and Senior Squad will start their coaching soon. Here's hoping for some nice dry weather for a while. Happy golfing
