Alex Qayum RLCGA 2012 Champion

Congratulations to Alexandra Qayum (Ranfurly Castle) who won the County Girls Junior Championship today against Samantha Cowan (Cochrane Castle) at Erskine in thoroughly horrible conditions.
 Both Alexandra and Samantha were very evenly matched for the front 9 holes and there was only ever one hole in it, both playing extremely well in the stiff wind and constant rain.
However Samantha's putting deserted her for the back 9 and Alexandra won 6/4 at the 14th.
The game was played in a truly wonderful competitive spirit and these young ladies have a very bright golfing future ahead of them.
