Eilidh Briggs and Gabriella Cowley made their Curtis Cup debuts in this afternoon foursomes on the opening day.

They were not played in the morning four-balls which the United States swept 3-0.

United States 3, Great Britain and Ireland 0
Afternoon foursomes
United States 2, GB and Ireland 1.

Ashlan Ramsay and Ailson Lee halved with Stephanie Meadow and Georgia Hall.
Erynne Lee and Annie Park beat Eilidh Briggs and Gabriella Cowley 3 and 1.
Emma Talley and Ally McDonald halved with Annabel Dimmock and Bronte Law.
