Marilyn Muir and Birgit Clark (Old Ranfurly) played Sandra Gilchrist and Gillian Gibson (Whitecraigs) in the Winter Foursomes Semi-Final on Sunday 28 February at the Old Course Ranfurly Golf Club.
The game was played in glorious sunshine although freezing conditions. This was a very friendly game with plenty of conversation. Marilyn and Birgit took an early lead with 3 up, but Sandra and Gillian fought back to be 1 up after 14.
Local knowledge possibly got the better of Sandra and Gillian, with Birgit and Marilyn winning the next three holes to win on the 17th 2/1.
A most enjoyable game played in rare sunshine!
They are now looking forward to playing in the final against Fiona and Evy.
