Due to the persistent rain on Sunday the 25th September , the final of the 2017 Rosebowl between Gill McLeod (Williamwood) and Alyson McGinnigle (Cowglen) was resumed on the 4th tee at East Renfrewshire Golf Club on Saturday 30th September at 1.30pm. Gill was 2 up at this point .
It was a great match enjoyed by both players in which every hole was closely contested thereafter.
Alyson was then 4 down after 12 holes but then won 2 holes in a row playing a great iron shot to give herself a tap in on the 14th and bring the match back to 2 down.
She was unlucky when a well struck tee shot at the 15th went in the burn and Gill took advantage to win the hole and then close the match out on the 16th.
Many congrats go to Gill and commiserations go to Alyson -- also apologies for the delay in this report.
