Despite depleted numbers due to exam pressures, the girls
had a very enjoyable afternoon together at Caldwell GC. The sun shone for most
of the afternoon which was a pleasant change.
Match 1: Orla Rooney (Cowglen) and Jennifer Lynagh (Caldwell ) played 9 holes each against Sophie Murphy (Clydebank ).
Match 2: Lauren Agnew (Eastwood) and Zara Thomson
(Williamwood) played 9 holes each against Eilidh (Clydebank ).
It was pleasing to see that the winter coaching had been
worthwhile with some lovely golf being played.
Liz Hale from Caldwell
kindly organised a Greensomes over 9 holes for the younger girls who have yet
to gain a handicap. Lucie Barclay (Kilmacolm) and Ella McGrath (Caldwell ) played against Mia Thyne (Caldwell ),
and Lily (Clydebank ). The girls played very
well and enjoyed the different format.
All the girls enjoyed drinks and a snack after their game
and we thank Liz very much indeed for arranging courtesy of Caldwell for them. We look forward to a
return match with D&A in the autumn.
