TRIAM POSTPONED

Unfortunately we are postponing tomorrow's TriAm. 
Greenock's Greelees match today was abandoned due to the greens flooding and as the forecast is for heavy rain ALL night, we felt it best to call the event off tonight.
Fiona will be in touch with Greenock staff tomorrow to try to get a date in early October and we hope we will have your support then too.

Many will know who D&A'S Sally Coster was and many will not know anything about her but -- A great friend to many in Renfrewshire County -- 
The funeral will take place at Maryhill Crematorium, G23 5AA, Glasgow at 3pm, Thursday 18th February.

Hole in One at Prestwick St Cuthberts in the West Vets Spring Meeting in 2010

Sally Coster (Hilton Park) pictured above with her playing partners RLCGA's Mamie Robin from Elderslie and Anne McKellar from Whitecraigs who had enjoyed the great event. 
It was Sally's 3rd Hole in One and many who played in  the competition enjoyed a wee glass of wine back in the clubhouse --- Compliments of Sally.

RLCGA'S HONORARY MEMBER DOROTHEA HASTINGS AND FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS

It is with great sadness I have to announce that Honorary Member Dorothea Hastings has died suddenly at home on Wednesday 18th November. 

Her daughter Gillian King and her son Crawford Hastings would like all her golfing friends to be informed. 

Our thoughts and best wishes go to the family 

The Funeral will take place on Saturday 5th December at 10:30 am at Craigton Crematorium in Cardonald and then back to Haggs Castle Golf Club.  Everyone is welcome and no flowers please.  

 Due to a major project being carried out by Scottish water, the main entrance to Craigton crematorium at Berryknowes Road is closed.

The new entrance and exit is from Paisley Road West and there is diversion signs from Berryknowes Road in place to assist with your travel. There is also road markings and signage in place at the cemetery and crematorium to ease traffic flow. For those travelling by car and using Satnavs the new post code for the Paisley Road West entrance will be G52 1SJ.

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM CAPTAIN GILL

Well that's another year gone, it's flown by so quickly.
I hope you had as enjoyable golf season as I have had.
It was a very busy time between golf and work but I can look back with a great sense of pride and satisfaction.
I'm looking forward to next year and hopefully another successful golf season for all at R.L.C.G.A.
It just leaves me to wish you a very Merry Xmas and a healthy and prosperous New Year

It has the RLCGA logo on it  -- If you feel you did not get it please check you JUNK folder as it may have gone in there in error and please say that it is NOT JUNK. This should allow any further emails sent out to go into your In Box.

The Autumn Meeting (Greensomes) over Caldwell on the Thursday 11th September has a fairly good entry so far but needs lots more of you to come and enjoy a great day out.
The Closing date is Friday 22nd August.

As a final reminder the RLCGA County Team are representing the West of Scotland in the Scottish Counties Finals over Hilton Park. They are joined by the other divisional champions --- Borders (South) Angus (North) and East Lothian (East).
The County Finals take place from Friday 19th September - Sunday 21st September. Please put these dates into you diary and come along and support Captain Gill McGinlay and her team. Further details will be published on the RLCGA website.

Your Fixture Card for this season is now posted on our website. Hopefully the majority of members will enter competitions via the web-site. Competition entry links for the competitions will be completed by the end of February. They will be found on the top border and side links of the web-site.

If you have no access to the internet, please telephone the competition official to register your entry.

Once the closing date for entry to the relevant competition has passed, the Committee Member informs the host club of tee-times required and, as a result, any applications after that time can only be allocated to spare or cancelled times and priority cannot be given to handicap category. If there are not sufficient numbers for the competition, the ballot time will be reduced accordingly.


The West Inter-County Matches (the Jamboree) will be held at Haggs Castle Golf Club from Monday 16th June to Wednesday 18th June and we look forward to your support. Our Caddy Mistress for this year is Elaine Robb, if you are available to caddy, please let Elaine know by emailing erobb01@gmail.com and please indicate which days, morning or afternoon, you are available.

The Annual General Meeting will be held at Haggs Castle Golf Club at 7.30 p.m. on Wednesday 5th November 2014. Please enter this date in your diary now.

I am looking for some help please... I managed to get my application in on time for the Scottish over at Machrihanish unfortunately no one else I was intending going with has managed to get the time off work. This currently means I have no one to share accommodation with and nothing currently booked. Before I get something for myself, I wondered if anyone else was in a similar situation.
