This year, for the first time, the McNeil Trophy pictured above will be awarded to the County Team of 3 returning the lowest aggregate scratch score in the 2 qualifying rounds with the 2 best scores counting each day. The Trophy, in memory of Kathleen McNeil, Renfrewshire's late Honorary Life President, has been presented by Miss Marigold Speir, Scottish Champion in 1957. It is very fitting that this trophy will not only be a permanent reminder of the Centenary of Scottish County Golf but to Kathleen who contributed so much to golf and was known by so many lady golfers in Scotland.
The Renfrewshire Team is Megan, Clare-Marie and Eilidh. Play well girls - all of you!
