MIXED FORTUNES FOR MEGAN, EILIDH AND ALYSON IN EUROPE

Scotland won Flight B in the European women's team championship at Murhof, Austria, having failed, earlier in the week, to make the top eight qualifiers for the championship flight.
Having beaten Switzerland 4-1 and Netherlands 4-1, the Scots edged a 3-2 concluding win over Finland to be ranked ninth in Europe.
Day 1:

Louise Kenney and Rachael Watton won their foursome by one hole while singles wins were chalked up by Kelsey MacDonald (3 and 2), Pamela Pretswell (4 and 3) and Jane Turner (3 and 2). Megan Briggs went down by one hole..

Louise Kenney and Rachael Watton bt Joan Van de Kraats and Caroline Karstan at 19th.
Kelsey MacDonald lost to Varin Schilperoord 1 hole.
Pamela Pretswell beat Karlijn Zaanen 3 and 1.
Megan Briggs beat Tessa de Bruijn 1 hole.
Jane Turner beat Myrte Eikenaar 2 and 1.
Day 3
SCOTLAND 3, FINLAND 2
Louise Kenney and Rachael Watton bt Peppiina Kaija and Annika Nykanen 2 holes.
Kelsey MacDonald beat Minna Vuorenpaa 3 and 2.
Pamela Pretswell beat Marika Voss at 20th.
Megan Briggs lost to Noora Tamnmnen 3 and 2.
Jane Turner lost to Sannan Uutinen 1 hole.

SCOTLAND GIRLS FINISH LAST IN FLIGHT B

Scotland completed a miserable week in the European girls' team championship in the heat of Is Molas, Sardinia by losing 3-2 to Turkey and finishing last in Flight B.
Day 1
Scotland’s girls were beaten 3 ½-1 ½ in a Flight B match of the European girls' team championship at Is Molas, Sardinia.
Eilidh Briggs was the Scots’ only winner by 2 and 1 in the singles. Alyson McKechin salvaged a square game, also in the singles.
Day 2
SCOTLAND 2, AUSTRIA 3
Lauren Whyte and Hannah McCook beat Anna Fuld and Nadine Dreher 7 and 5.
Eilidh Briggs lost to Marlene Krejcy 2 and 1.
Ailsa Summers beat Michaela Gasplmayr 2 holes.
Clara Young lost to Nicole Wolf 5 and 3.
Alyson McKechin lost to Felicitas Witt-Dorring 4 and 2

Lauren Whyte and Clara Young bt Tugce Erden and Nergis Kok at 19th.
