IONA IS THIRD IN THE MUNROSS TROPHY

Iona Stephen
Stirling student Hannah McCook (Grantown on Spey) pipped St Andrews student Ailsa Summers (Carnoustie Ladies) for the Munross Trophy at the end of the 36-hole SLGA Order of Merit event at Montrose Links.
McCook, beaten by the eventual champion, Connie Jaffrey, in the second round of last week's 100th Scottish women's amateur championship, had rounds of 77 and a very good 69 for a total of 146.

Troon youngster Hazel MacGarvie (78-70) and Renfrewshire's Iona Stephen (Wentworth) (72-76) tied for third place on 148.
